We are here for you. We hope this page provides a list of useful contacts and services that you can access whilst you are home – where that be self-isolating or under lockdown. 

You must self-isolate for at least 14 days if:

  • You have returned to Guernsey, Alderney or Sark from anywhere in the world: in which case you are required to self-isolate for the 14 full days after the day you returned to the islands
  • You have any symptoms of COVID-19 (muscle ache, headache, loss of smell/taste, sore throat, fever, shortness of breath, chest tightness, continuous new cough)
  • You have been tested positive for COVID-19 and are awaiting a negative test in order to cease self-isolation
  • You have been notified that you are a close contact of a positive case

In order to understand how the community are feeling and what challenges you are facing, we have created an online voluntary form. When completing this form, you will be asked questions regarding your current circumstances and whether you require any additional information or support. If you do require additional information, we will endeavour to provide this to you as quickly as possible. The information collated will also be used to match the needs of the community with coronavirus related services and support.

Volunteers from both St Johns and Carers Guernsey are linking up to provide a telephone scheme to help those who live alone or feel lonely during pandemic. Talking to someone about your day can make all the difference with how you are feeling. These Caring Callers are not health experts, but are members of the community who are happy to have a chat. Guidance for volunteers has been produced, explaining the importance of protecting yourself and others, limiting social interaction by placing good on the doorstep of properties, and what to do if you become unwell yourself. This is available in the downloads box below.
