Community support and volunteer services

The States of Guernsey has been overwhelmed by Islanders’ innate community spirit and generosity with many coming forward to volunteer their services, time and valuable skills, to support others in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This page provides an overview of the services, groups and charities offering support to the wider community during these challenging times.

Together we are stronger

During lockdown, a Community Hub was launched - Welcome Home Collective. This site aims to be a centralised point for community support such as the offer of an online yoga class to a live musical event to help keep the community well through and beyond the need to isolate. The website will have a diary so visitors can see easily what is on offer daily.

Volunteer Guernsey – St John, alongside the Guernsey Community Foundation and the Association of Guernsey Charities - are kindly coordinating the Island-wide community volunteer effort. To volunteer directly please email

Alternatively you can send in your offers of assistance to the States of Guernsey by completing this form or emailing The information provided will be published (where applicable) and will be used to link up those in need with people who are able to provide assistance.

Please read the Guidance for Volunteers document, which can be found in the downloads section below. This guidance explains the importance of protecting yourself and others, and what to do if you become unwell yourself.
